What is Decipher about?

It is observed that architecture/design schools often miss-out on teaching about the realities of the outside world. While it might be essential to have a fictional mindset for creativity, it is equally important to know about the realities of professional practice. Design being a subjective field has numerous perceptions and conclusions, although the actuality of it depends on the behavior of its user.

Decipher is a 5-day workshop that focuses on design, its process and execution. The purpose of the boot-camp is to introduce under-grad students & fresh graduates to take a deeper sense of understanding while creating/designing for a user. In the tech-driven world, fancy outlook and perceptions of futuristic world are somewhere a cause of designer’s biasness rather than being user-oriented solution. The boot-camp is programmed to be a cross-disciplinary approach to design thinking while throwing light on areas of interests such as Sketch, Design-Innovation, Portfolio Making, Professional Practice & Brand Building.

The boot-camp is aimed to make you "think" rather than teach, through case studies and resources that have been tried and tested over the years by industry experts and research scholars.

What is the task of the week?

Participants will be given a challenge by individual mentors which shall be completed in a week. The tasks will provide a hands-on experience and can be put into practice by the participants in their design journey.
